As an IT Developer with Graycor, you will be responsible for the development, integration, administration, maintenance, and user support for selected information technology applications. Supplements other IT staff for network administration and help desk functions.
Reports to IT Director.
At Graycor, You Will Have The Opportunity To:
- Working independently or as part of a small team, execute small- to medium-scale software development projects involving new applications or enhancement/integration of existing systems. Work with project owners to define requirements and estimate effort to complete projects. Coordinate with other development team members to complete application design, coding, testing, and deployment. Provide ongoing administration and troubleshooting, as needed.
- Provide technical support for packaged 3rd-party line-of-business applications such as accounting software, CRM software, project management software, document management software, etc. Execute new system deployments, upgrades, and enhancements, as needed. Work with users and outside consultants to define requirements, develop budgets and schedules, and coordinate system installation, customization, training, and rollout. Resolve problems with system connectivity, reliability, performance, and security.
- Acts a subject matter expert for broad functional and technical areas of any of the systems used by Graycor.
- Develop business intelligence applications such as custom reports and dashboards for existing line-of-business systems using appropriate BI tools. Work with users to define requirements and resolve problems.
- Supplement other IT staff for network maintenance/administration/troubleshooting/security and help desk functions in all areas of IT, including: PC’s and mobile devices, IBM i, LAN/Internet infrastructure, Windows servers, Active Directory, messaging and communication systems, and database servers.
- Investigate information technology products and strategies as directed. Evaluate potential costs and benefits, prepare reports for management.
- Perform other IT-related duties, as directed by the IT Director.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline.

Minimum of five years relevant experience.

Solid understanding of and experience with Microsoft application platform and tools, including Visual Studio, C#, and .NET framework, particularly for back-end web application and web service development with ASP.NET.

Solid understanding of and experience with front-end web development technologies and techniques, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript language and libraries, Ajax, and single-page applications.

Working knowledge of any of the following:

Microsoft SQL Server development and administration – particularly business intelligence application development using SQL Server Reporting Services

Microsoft SharePoint Server development and administration

Microsoft Windows UI development (WinForms, WPF)

Mobile platforms (particularly iOS) and mobile application development

User interface/interaction design

Network infrastructure technologies (particularly TCP/IP and Windows Server) and network/system administration

Strong analytical and problem solving abilities

Strong planning and organizational skills.

Well-developed written and verbal communication skills

Ability to assess IT needs and provide solutions to business units and departments
