Description

Lead business development and sales efforts in Phoenix and the Southwest area by developing relationships with empowered client contacts to achieve overall growth objectives. As a keysenior leadership team member, you will partner with the General Manager and other senior

managers to develop new and repeat business.

 

Core Markets: Warehouse/distribution, retail, entertainment, lodging, corporate office, general

commercial, and light manufacturing.

 

This position reports to the General Manager of the Southwest Division.

 

At Graycor, You Will Have the Opportunity To:

  • Build client relationships by initiating new client contacts and assisting in furtherdeveloping and maintaining relationships with existing clients.
  • Partner with the senior leadership team in formulating an annual business development plan; including developing SWOT analyses, identifying market trends, existing and target clients, required resources, and business development budget.
  • Drive strategic growth objectives by performing market research to identify, qualify and prioritize potential markets, projects, and customers.
  • Develop and execute on strategies to optimize real project opportunities and meet business development plan goals and objectives.
  • Lead weekly business development strategy meetings with the senior leadership team.
  • Assist in the development of project proposals and assist project personnel in
  • making effective client presentations.
  • With assistance from the marketing department, organize and tender qualification
  • data to clients.
  • Develop and maintain a wide network of key decision-makers through personal and
  • professional contacts.
  • Actively participate in industry associations (ICSC, GPEC, ULI, NAIOP etc.); including positioning yourself to be on boards and committees within these organizations.
  • Lead Graycor's participation in strategic trade shows for networking purposes and to increase our presence and visibility.
  • Partner effectively with other senior leadership and all internal departments such as estimating, operations, marketing, safety/quality, and IT in order to assist thebusiness development effort.
  • Utilize the Salesforce client reporting system (CRM) to organize and maintain information for client contacts, current targeted project status, and known future opportunities.

· Well-developed sales and business development skills with a proven track record of

developing new markets, closing new business, and growing business with existing

clients.

· The ability to build strong relationships and establish strong interpersonal

connections with prospective clients.

· The ability to build relationships, network, and market services with professionalism

and tact

· Be familiar with the function and operation of a Customer Relationship Management

(CRM) system. (We use Salesforce)

· Be familiar with and able to manage market research applications.

· Have an analytical orientation toward monitoring key market trends/changes and

the ability to take appropriate action to earn new business.

· Demonstrated strong leadership, sales, and strategic planning skills.

· Effective written and oral communication skills to present proposals to clients with

competence and confidence.

Educational Requirement:

· A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a business or construction-related field.
